Our Work

“We have come to a time when every member of the church should take hold of medical missionary work." 7T 62.1

Have you ever thought about what that quote implies? It implies that there is a healing work every Adventist can do. This includes those without any medical degree. What would that look like? It would look like Christ’s method. Well what does Christ’s method look like? Is it building relationships? Is it preaching, “The kingdom of God is at hand”? Is it teaching others through Bible studies? Or is it healing people’s physical, mental, and emotional illnesses?

True success in reaching the people comes by doing all of the above —at the same time. Christ’s method is healing, preaching, teaching, and building relationships. To leave out any one of these is an incomplete gospel. Health Partnering is the “missing link”, as some have call it, in the proclamation of the third angel’s message.

How does Health Partnering work? Health Partnering facilitates a simultaneous healing of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual —sozo. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Notice the transformation happens by renewing the mind. When the mind is renewed, there is a simultaneous transformation of the physical and the spiritual —placing the right value on spiritual things.

Sister White comments on the subject: “It is impossible for men and women, while under the power of sinful, health-destroying, brain-enervating habits, to appreciate sacred truth. “Every violation of principle in eating and drinking blunts the preceptive faculties, making it impossible for them to appreciate or place the right value upon eternal things.” CH 21.2; 38.2 Health Partners help people, through weekly one-on-one appointments, follow the laws of health by aiding them to set up personalized goals. Which, when followed, renew the mind and allow people appreciate our precious pearls of truth. On the second visit, the Partner begins to walk with their new friend. This will facilitate physical, mental, and emotional healing while opening the door for spiritual conversation —it happens almost every time. If it doesn’t, trust in Divine power will come up on the eighth appointment.

In our health partnering ministry we have seen miraculous transformations from people in the community. We have seen people transformed physically, mentally, emotionally, and accept Jesus Christ and the three angel’s messages. However, an even greater phenomenon we have noticed is a change in the atmosphere in the local churches. Our last church became the fastest growing church in the North Pacific Union per capita. We had 89 percent member involvement in events outside of the Sabbath service. Members that had left saw what was happening in the church and recommitted themselves to Jesus and the proclamation of the Gospel. Upon our departure from Spirit Lake SDA health evangelism was the highest ranking, by far, on a survey in regards to the church’s future outreach endeavors. As we train other churches we are seeing a great excitement and enthusiasm in the membership.

Furthermore, we are seeing that health partnering is a perfect follow-up to many, if not all, our church events i.e. Cooking Classes, Depression Recovery, Health Expos, Dinner with the Doctor, AMEN Clinics, Your Best Pathways to Health, Evangelistic Meetings, Exercise Clubs, Weeks of Health, Diabetes Undone, etc. One-on-one, in-home health partnering gets your foot in the door where the Gospel is not able to enter yet.

Our goal at Grand Finale Seminars is to share our passion of Christ’s method with the world. We truly believe health partnering is a work every member can do. There are several projects we are working on that will help take this ministry worldwide. Your prayers and financial support are needed.
